The CYBER-Team Model ( CYBER-T) is one of the defining features of the programme.
Throughout CYBER, HBB and EEB students work together in interdisciplinary pairs.
Two backgrounds. One team.
Each CYBER-T brings together one HBB student and one EEB student.
Pairs are formed to create complementary teams, taking into account students’ academic backgrounds, skills and profiles.
The idea is simple: bring together people who approach the same challenge from different perspectives.
Do I need to know how to program?
No.
If you join through HBB, you do not need a programming background. You will gain an understanding of technological approaches and work alongside EEB students who bring complementary expertise.
Do I need to know psychology?
No.
If you join through EEB, you do not need a psychology background. You will explore the human and behavioural dimensions of CYBER and work alongside HBB students with complementary expertise.
Your CYBER-T can work together throughout the four semesters on:
- coursework and assignments;
- interdisciplinary projects;
- practical activities;
- internships;
- the final dissertation or project.
This means that collaboration is not an isolated part of the programme. It is built into your CYBER experience from the beginning.
Together from semester one to the final project
CYBER-T in practice
Our first edition students used their different backgrounds to develop interdisciplinary projects addressing real challenges at the intersection of people and technology.
In the first edition, 80 students from 34 countries took part in more than 40 research and development projects. CYBER-Ts presented their work at international conferences such as CyPsy 27 (Paris), ICDVRAT 2024 (Prague), MindXR (Berlin) and CyPsy 29 (Porto).
